Many results of that study are agaist the previous state of knowledge. The biggest risk factor of DCS according to this study is being female. The risk factor of obesity confronts the actual state of knowledge. Moderate obesity is lowering the probability of DCS, compared to normal or lean body build. The title is already very special, because in Enlish, it's called 'A life under water', but in German original, it's called 'Diving with Death' or 'Death dives together'. Both title combined matches the spirit of the life of Achim - his life is dedicated to the underwater, but he has numerous encounters with death.
