Fuerteventura

A volcanic Canary Island with warm Atlantic water, strong marine life, and year-round diving conditions.

Fuerteventura is a great diving location on Canary Islands, known for clear Atlantic water, volcanic seabeds, and reliable conditions through most of the year. Around the island, divers can explore reefs, drop-offs, caves, and sandy areas where rays and larger pelagic species are often seen.

Why dive in Fuerteventura?

  • Year-round diving with mild water temperatures
  • Volcanic underwater landscapes and dramatic topography
  • Good visibility on many dive sites
  • Strong mix of beginner-friendly and advanced dives
  • Easy access to dive centers in major coastal towns

What to consider?

  • Strong winds - when they’re too strong, dive centers are forced to stop dives (usually a few days a few times in a year)
  • Calima - dreaded sand storm from Sahara - also few days in a year, so chill out
