Grafenmattli

Grafenmattli is a belowed spot for experienced divers, especially technical one. Limited parking options make it less suitable for diving clubs.

Parking

You have 2 spots on both ends of the gallery on the lake side, and up to 4 cars near the waterfall. It’s very narrow, be very careful about traffic and not to scratch your car.

Entry & Exit

Concrete stairs going directly into the water near the house on the lake side of the gallery. Flat small plateau, where you can easily deposit stages. A few meters later you have a dropout that will follow you into the depth.

Dive description

Classic variant

You go slightly right, than go down, you’ll find an overhang with some toys and memorial table. Than you turn back, and go in other direction - left seeing from entry. Technical divers will slowly get driven into the depths, that follow you much below 1.6 PPO (trimix required). Others will slowly get up. If you go far (about 20 minutes from entry), you can find a frog which a memorial for love relation between divers.

Lothenbach

There used to be a dive spot with entry north from Grafenmattli, but now it’s not accessible. If you dive right (direction north), after 5 minutes, the wall will end and you’ll enter waterfall area, with 2 big trees in the middle (a lot of fish in summer). After another 5 minutes, you’re on the another side, and another shore wall begins. You can now go in the depth, at around 30 meters you’ll land on the stone wall, that goes deeper in direction south (up to 60 meters), and go slightly up in direction north (for recreational dive).
