Zurichsee
Urban-access freshwater diving in Lake Zurich, with steep walls, deep sections, and easy shore entries.
Lake Zurich (German: Zuerichsee) stretches southeast from the city of Zurich and forms one of the most accessible dive regions in northern Switzerland. Based on Wikipedia, the lake sits at about 406 m above sea level, reaches around 136 m maximum depth, and has a surface area of roughly 88 km2.
The basin is split by the Seedamm at Rapperswil into two connected parts (Obersee and the lower main lake), with many easy shore entries around villages and parks. For divers, Zurichsee combines practical city access with classic Swiss freshwater conditions: sloping bottoms, local steep walls, and occasional deeper attractions.
