Entry & Exit
Entry is from the pier by the water in Kilchberg. A common approach is to swim on the surface toward the offshore buoys before descending, because the immediate shoreline section is relatively flat and less interesting.
Underwater profile
- Gentle, silty slope near shore
- Small steeper rock sections starting near the buoys
- Main attraction: a sunken rowboat at about 34-38 m
Safety notes
- Keep your decompression limits and gas reserve under strict control when visiting the rowboat depth.
- Depth and task loading can increase quickly when visibility drops.
Facilities
- Paid public parking nearby - but it has only a limited number of spots
- Toilet available at the nearby boathouse in the park area
- Large reacreational area with banks, playground, tennis court and beautiful view on Alps
