The route around the lake has about 16 km and takes… well, it depends on your pace. I was running with slow pace, but you may go fast, or just enjoy the nature with slow walk.
The southern of the lake is surrounded by the nature - meadows and forest.
The northern part goes along the street. You can enjoy the mountain panorama with Alps in the background.
The special tourist attraction is the monument commemorating the Battle of Morgarten, with the wooden sculpture of Swiss peasant warriors.
You will also see many artistic installation, like the metal fish near the ferry pier in Oberaegeri.
