1) Zug old town
If you’re in Zug, the old town is obviously the must-see option. Zytturm is the icon of Zug, and you’ve probalby seen it already during drive-through. A small steet behind it leads you directly to the Landsgemeindeplatz, the city square. It’s placed directly on the shore of Zugerberg, and it has two aviaries, where you can watch exotic and European birds - without charge.

2) Seesicht

Seesicht - The Lake Sight - is the artistic installation that allows you to look under water without snorkel. Behind the metal doors, there are stairs leading to the small chamber placed fully under water. You can watch the fishes through the glass windor. Or not, because often fishes prefer to swim on surface. If you take your snorkel with you, you can make a swim around and watch fishes directly. But kudos for non-conventional idea.
3) Sika deers range

Just a few minutes walk further there’s a Sika deers range. It’s sponsored by the company that shares the name with the deers. There’s a vending machine selling food for them - a great attractions for children.
4) Schlaufensteg

Schaufensteg is the wooden platform above the tree line, that allows you to walk over the trees and watch the Lorze Gorge. It’s fully free to enter. You can do a short walk in the Gorge afterwards.
5) Wildenburg Ruin and Schwarzenbach Waterfall

Those are hidden attractions, easy to miss. You can park on Parkplatz Lorzentobel, near the Lorzentobel Bridge, cross the main street and walk the steep path along the trail. The trail goes down into the gorge, and then you meet a very interesting waterfall. It looks like child slide, the water has eroded the rock behind the slide. It’s quite special, because normally water erodes gorges in the rock along its way. Here the more resistant rock is put forward, forming a slide.

Then the trail goes up, and on the hilltop, there’s a nicely hidden ruin of Wildenburg Castle.
